What is XpediCare?

• XpediCare is a telehealth service that offers live video and asynchronous visits with a licensed physician. You can use the telehealth service to get your prescribed medications filled at our pharmacy.

How do I access XpediCare to submit or schedule a consultation with a physician?​

• To start a consultation for a GLP-1, click "Get Started" for your desired medication. Then click "Start Consultation."

• For a non-GLP consultation, click here to be redirected.

Do I need to go through XpediCare in order to get prescribed a compounded GLP-1 injection filled at Forest Park Pharmacy?

• If you do not have a primary physician that will prescribe compounded GLP-1’s, XpediCare is a convenient and accessible telehealth service. 

• Your primary care physician can send your compounded GLP-1 prescription to our pharmacy to be filled. We can also transfer an existing prescription from your current pharmacy to ours. Here is the link to submit a transfer request: TRANSFER

 

Is there a cost to use XpediCare?

• Asynchronous visits are available for certain prescriptions. They require no appointment or video chat. 

 

Do I have to submit a telehealth consultation every time I need a fill on my prescription?

• Your prescription may have refills that we can fill without the need for a consultation. 

• If you are out of refills or need to request an increase in your dose, a consultation is required.

How do I renew my prescription, request an increased dose, or request a different compounded GLP-1? 

• To renew your compounded GLP-1 prescription that does not have refills or request changes to a current prescription, a new visit is required. 

 

What is ondansetron? 

• Ondansetron, generic for Zofran, is prescribed for nausea. 

 

I submitted an XpediCare visit. What do I do now? 

• Once the physician has reviewed your submission, your prescriptions will be sent to our pharmacy for processing. Please allow at least 30 minutes for your prescriptions to be live in our pharmacy system. 

 

I submitted a visit but my prescriptions have not been sent to the pharmacy. 

• The physician may require further information. Please check for any messages sent to you in XpediCare. 

 

I need to request a change to the visit I have just submitted.

• You can request changes directly with the physician through XpediCare. Please notify our pharmacy so that we can process your prescription accurately once any changes have been approved by the physician. 

 

How can I get assistance with navigating XpediCare? 

• XpediCare help desk can be accessed on their webpage. 

• Some users may have a better experience when accessing XpediCare on a desktop computer rather than a mobile phone or in a different browser.
