The Hangover Kit - For mornings that need a do-over. One bag, four fixes.

Product Description

The mistake is not the night before. The mistake is waking up at 7 a.m. with a head full of concrete and realizing that everything you need is somewhere other than your house.

The Hangover Kit is what you buy in advance. Four items that address the actual mechanics of feeling terrible: fluid loss, inflammation, stomach acid, and depleted B vitamins. Assembled ahead of time, sitting in your cabinet, ready on the morning you are in no condition to solve problems.

What's inside

Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier, 6 stick packs, strawberry.
This is the one that actually matters. Alcohol suppresses the hormone that tells your kidneys to hold onto water, which is why you spent the night going to the bathroom and woke up feeling like a raisin. Most of what you are experiencing is dehydration and electrolyte loss, not poison. An electrolyte mix does considerably more than plain water, and a stick pack you stir into a glass is something you can manage even when nothing else sounds possible. Six sticks means you are covered for a while, and it is worth drinking one before bed rather than waiting for morning.

Ibuprofen 200 mg, 24 coated tablets.
An anti-inflammatory rather than just a pain reliever, which is the right tool here. The headache is largely inflammatory and vascular, and ibuprofen addresses that directly. Twenty four tablets, gluten free, same active ingredient as the name brand.

TUMS Chewy Bites Extra Strength, assorted berries, 32 tablets.
Alcohol increases stomach acid production and irritates the lining, which is where the nausea and the burning come from. Calcium carbonate works within a few minutes. Chewy instead of chalky, which matters when your stomach is already unhappy about everything.

B-Complex Plus Vitamin C, 100 tablets.
B vitamins are water soluble, which means a night of frequent urination flushes them out. Low B levels contribute to the fatigue and fog that hang around long after the headache is gone. This is the recovery piece rather than the acute fix, and one hundred tablets means it becomes something you take regularly rather than something you dig out twice a year.

The one item that is deliberately not in this bag

Acetaminophen. Tylenol and the products that contain it are processed by the liver through the same pathway that is already working overtime after drinking, and the combination is genuinely hard on it. That is why this kit contains ibuprofen instead. It is the kind of thing a pharmacist thinks about and a gas station shelf does not.

Why we put it together

Because the alternative is a convenience store at 8 a.m. where the sports drink is warm, the pain reliever is a two pack behind glass, and you pay four times what any of it is worth for the privilege of standing in fluorescent light while feeling awful.

Buy it before you need it. Put it in the cabinet. The morning it matters, it is already there, and you do not have to leave the house or make a single decision.

Who this is for

Weddings, bachelor and bachelorette weekends, holiday parties, birthdays, reunions, and the occasional Tuesday that got away from someone. It is also one of the better gifts on this counter. Drop one on a friend's desk before a big weekend, or put a few in a hotel welcome bag for out of town guests. People genuinely remember who gave them the one that showed up on the bathroom counter at the right moment.

Safety

Read and follow the directions on each package. A few things worth knowing:

Ibuprofen is an NSAID and should be taken with food or after you have something in your stomach. Do not take it if you have a history of stomach ulcers or GI bleeding, kidney disease, or if you take blood thinners, without checking with us or your doctor first. Alcohol plus NSAIDs raises the risk of stomach bleeding, so use the labeled dose and do not stack it.

Do not take acetaminophen alongside heavy drinking. See the note above.

Calcium carbonate antacids can interfere with absorption of some prescription medications, including certain antibiotics and thyroid medication. Separate them by a couple of hours if that applies to you.

The B-complex is a daily supplement, not a same morning cure. Take it as directed rather than doubling up hoping it works faster.

And the real one: severe vomiting that will not stop, confusion, slow or irregular breathing, seizures, or someone who cannot be woken up are signs of alcohol poisoning, not a hangover. That is a 911 call, not a bag from the counter. Never leave someone in that condition to sleep it off.
